A concert exploring our relationship with Nature and Creation Friday, October 24, 2025 at 7:30 pm 55th Annual Convention - ND Episcopal Diocese Prairie Knights Casino - Invitation Only Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 7:00 pm St. James Episcopal Church - Cannon Ball, ND Admission Free, Donations Accepted Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 5:00 pm Trinity Lutheran Church - Bismarck, ND $25 GA tickets, $5 Student tickets at the door (Presale tickets are available through the link to the left) Dakota Pro Musica presents the first concert of our 6th season "Unchí Makxá, our Sacred Place" a concert exploring our relationship with Nature and Creation from Native and non-Native perspectives. The concert will feature the professional choir and instrumentalist for Dakota Pro Musica in partnership with the WOZU youth drum ensemble and Lakota arts leaders. The choral repertoire will include Alex Berko's recent choral work "Sacred Place" for choir, soloists, violin, cello, and piano and two of Chickasaw composer Jerod Tate's compositions "Taloowa Chipota" and "We are Storm". The WOZU youth drum ensemble will play three songs led by Cedric Goodhouse Jr., there will be Lakota poetry written by Robert Harold Bordeaux, and flute music played by Dakota Goodhouse. |

The service includes traditional scripture readings which tell the story from Adam to the birth of Christ, traditional and modern choral anthems and carols, and prayers of reflection and joy for the coming Christ child. |

St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hague, ND Free concert with $20 suggested donation. "Music of American Faith" is one of the concerts in Dakota Pro Musica's "Celebrating America!" season and features sacred music composed by American composers or music that is commonly presented in American worship. The music will represent music of various faith traditions of the US including Catholic, Lutheran, Episcopal, Methodist, Presbyterian, and contemporary Christian traditions. There will also be two pieces connected to the Jewish faith. |
